Love Is The Answer

Love would be the best way to describe my trip to Miami. I got to enjoy great weather, art, and parties.

After my time on the beach and sightseeing, I traveled over to the Wynwood Arts District to see all the wonderful Walls if Wynwood & galleries, and was amazed on the amount of art and creativity.

After witnessing all the various art exhibits between South Beach, Midtown, and Wynwood these two pieces are my absolute favorite.

And last but not least, my absolute favorite artist Mr. Brainwash. I am always so inspired by his work and even had the opportunity to meet and party with the famed artist.

Overall for my first time visiting Miami, I had the best time and cannot wait to return.

Love Travel. Miami Art Basel

I am so excited that I will be attending Art Basel this week in Miami! This will be my first time visiting Miami, and words cannot even describe how much I have been needing a vacation. I love to travel to get get lost in the sights and activities of my destination and to be inspired.

I have always been a big lover of art, which comes from my dad who was an artist when he was in college and who would to take me to art shows when he would go seeking to buy a new piece. Over the years, I have grown an even greater appreciation of art and the creative process. Art has such as connection to

Packing is usually a task despise but with fun luggage from Alice and Olivia from the new collaboration from Target and Nieman Marcus it makes packing more enjoyable.

Especially when it comes with all the cute bags for shoes, laundry,toiletries, and even for sunglasses which I will definitely need for South Beach.

I will be shoving a lot of clothes in this suitcase with all the events I learned about from Ashley Outrageous' Art Basel event guide. I am not one to overpack but there are some things will not be leaving home without like my favorite Joe's Jeans cutoff shorts...

Love Construction

I am still in love... just under a little construction.

I have been working diligently behind the scenes on several different projects that have expanded my knowledge and views on the industry as a whole. 

I have been working on rebuilding my portfolio site that will feature styling and development work. The will include various collaborations with Bradley Murray,Lynnette Astaire,Cam Be,and many other talented collaborations. 

The newly constructed portfolio site will be released in mid- December. 

Not only have I been working on the new site, I have been working on visual merchandising works and various independent projects. 

My lack of posting has not lessend my love for the blog. Post are coming very soon. I would like to thank you for all the support friends, family and followers that have been constant motivation.

Love Summer

I love Chicago summers obviously because of the hot weather and the endless possibilities to explore the city. Whether it attending the numerous festivals or enjoying a drink on a rooftop the summers in Chicago make you forget in the next few months Old Man Winter will be coming to knock down your door. So on a summer day in Chicago where I have to run errands, I love to throw on some cotton to keep me cool. So I mixed a little vintage floral, a graphic printed skirt, and sky high wedges (my favorite) for a easy summer look that will look and feel good for whatever the day will bring.

Love the Silver Linning

I was so happy to get a chance to go to The Sliver Room block Party. The day was hot, overcast and it looked like it was going to rain. However the rain held out and I got to enjoy the day of fun.

I love attending the The Sliver Room Block Party and have enjoyed the music, art, and the sense of community for the past few years.

I love these shoes (minus the tan marks from my other sandals), and I have had them for a while and they still look great.

Love Neon and Leopard

Throughout the years I have never been a fan of leopard print. Yet in the last few years the print has grown on me. I found this lovely blosue at H&M while shopping at the Mall of America. I have been in love with the neon colors this season and paired the leopard print with neon pink cropped denim I picked up randomly shopping at Targé also known as Target.

In the past month I have been loving the Alex and Ani single charm bangles that I have been collecting around my wrist. Each one has a special meanings such as my initials, my zodiac sign (Capricorn), LOVE (being the greatest virtue of them all), and the lovely quote "Everything Happens for a Reason" which is such a valuable quote. And of course, I have to have my favorite natural stone rings.

And to finish up I paird the outfit back with my classic nude pumps.

Love Style Is...

I have always loved Sir & Madame and unique product and I was honored when they asked me to be apart of their quarterly feature "Style Is"

I love the photography from Devin Mays of Picture My Vision and it captures the ambiance of Sir & Madame eclectic product selection.

Love Last Night

Last night I attended an party for a friend moving to L.A. Inspired by neo- grunge looks I've been seeing around, I simply paired a camoflage jacket with a cropped floral print graphic tee, and a dainty Trouvé pleated skirt. I would have originally paired this with a pair of boots but wanted to do something different so I paired with a pair of Jeffrey Campbell lace up pumps.

Today's look inspired by...

 an American wedding

Well not really, I just looked like I was in some country wedding today.

I really did not know that this look would look like I was involved in a country inspired bridal party.  

I simply paired a Free People cream denim dress, and layered a lace blouse underneath. 

Oh, and the ring is a special handmade two finger ring with natural stones. And my fingernails are something blue... 

Who said that a girl can play around with wedding dresses... well something like that. :)

Love Casual Days

I have to say that I love a causal Saturday. Don't get me wrong, I really love getting dolled up for an event or anything for that matter.

However, I love a pair of jeans and layering detailed basics. Whether it is t-shirts or random detailed pieces that create a pulled together look with little effort.

I layered a Free people velvet patterned corset bra, a black smock blouse, and a lightweight Gap safari jacket paired back with a pair of Topshop denim. When layering basics, I love adding bold and intricate accessories to finish the outfit. Not only did I add a bright tribal print headband, I added some of my favorite pieces of jewelry.

And I cannot forget the boots. I absolutely love boots and I will choose a pair of boots over a pair of flats any day.
